Setting Up E-Mail in Netscape 6.x

Step 1: Double-click the Netscape 6 icon.

Step 2: From the Tasks menu, choose Mail.

Step 3: Select ISP or email provider.

Step 4: In the Your Name field, type your full name.

Step 5: In the Email Address field, type your email address.

Step 6: Click the Next button.

Step 7: Click the down arrow on the Server Type drop-down list and choose POP Mail Server.

Step 8: In the Server Name field in the Incoming Server area, type in the incoming email server given to you by your provider.

Step 9: In the Server Name field in the Outgoing (SMTP) Server area, type in the outgoing mail server given to you by your provider.

Step 10: Click the Next button.

Step 11: In the User Name field, type in the user name given to you by your provider. (Usually the username is the text before the "@" symbol in your email addresss.)

Step 12: Click the Next button.

Step 13: In the Account Name field, type a name to identify the email account.

Step 14: Click the Next button.

Step 15: Click the Finish button.

Step 16: You have successfully set up Netscape Mail 6.0.
